LET'S RESPOND....UNITEDLY...

       There is a popular quote that when a person is on weaker footing at home and in domestic matter ,then outsiders tend to use every opportunity to strengthen their position, sometimes even contrary to your wishes...

And this has been aptly followed by publications in US and WEST against Indian society and its leaders... the recent being of Washington Post's bureau chief  Denyer's critic of our prime minister and his position in government. even previously TIME has also brought on its cover stating Mr. Singh as an "Underachiever"

But for all responses one thing is sure that being on cover of two prestigious publication's in short span of time, India matters much for US and other "ailing economies" to push their MNC's. 

Coming back to our domestic scenario, i would have to go a little back when  the situation was that a democratically-elected chief minister of  a state was denied visa from US government on charges which were still under investigation...on similar and even more serious issues visa was granted by same nation to other allies of USA. So at that time the opposition party in the state celebrated the issue and made it a point of its campaign...then TIME issue came and emboldened by its fearlessness and "objective" assessment, WP also followed on its footsteps criticizing PM, it can be due to fury of Walmart and alike who are eagerly waiting for FDI in retail and which govt. is waiting for consensus.US and its corporates are looking towards INDIA to open more and till now  they were hopeful that he would repeat 1992 again, but now things are more complex so definitely speed will be hampered.

 So far there is no response from opposition as such on this issue of National Respect as they are stuck on their own agenda.

The proper course of action  should have been that all political parties should uniformly issue a critic of the post because as of now it appears that report misquoted several references and also handpicked selective quotes attributed in entirely different contexts and time, so indeed it is an issue.

Agreed that on domestic issues the performance of the government may not be up-to the expectation but that has to be decided by public. Inspite of all critic, PM has done its best what he can but as a leader entangled between NAC-CORPORATE-ALLIES-CIVIL SOCIETY ,he has limited authority to call his shots.  He has his own leadership issues but he cannot abdicate his responsibilities on any grounds.

 At a time when our own " corporate" media house are diversifying their portfolio and engaging in coal mining which they got without any "legal" price, the rebuttal of WP's post by any professional journalist will be a welcome move, as PMO's Communication Adviser being an arm of the GoI doesn't carry any moral backing. and on a lighter note I am sympathetic to Mr. Denyer for being away in U.S. as if he was an Indian journalist he would have faced threats of arrests or witch-hunting by ED,CBI,PCI...and even be labelled as "foreign hand".

still there is time when we should have a coherent vision and all parties should respect national pride larger than parochial interests, as PM is more than an individual ,he is our leader and any biased critic should be vehemently opposed as it may slowly creep into degrading our national leaders,institutions and freedom fighters...hope that there would be a joint statement of NDA-UPA  criticizing the irresponsible act of commission by Washington Post...

2. USE IT AS  A COUNTER-TOOL TO STOP MIS-INFORMATION CAMPAIGN WHICH USE SOCIAL MEDIA AS THEIR WEAPON AND DENIGRATE ITS POSITIVE ROLE.
3. TO COLLABORATE WITH LIKE MINDED AND DIVERGENT VIEW-POINTS FOR BETTER UNDERSTANDING OF ISSUES.
4. TO SPREAD AWARENESS ABOUT VARIOUS SCHEMES AND STEP'S WHICH GOVT. HAS TAKEN FOR WELFARE AND ENSURING JUSTICE.
5. TO GIVE A PLATFORM TO OUR FRIENDS WHO DON'T READ NEWSPAPER AND ARE THUS UNAWARE OF ISSUES CONCERNING OUR NATION.
6. AS A RESOURCE TO STUDENTS BY WHICH THEY HAVE A MULTI-FACETED UNDERSTANDING OF ANY ISSUE.

IT WOULD BE A WELCOME STEP IF SUCH ISSUES/PROBLEMS/INCIDENTS ARE CONVEYED AT THIS FORUM, SO THAT IT CAN BE CONVEYED TO OTHERS ALSO AND AS SAID "UNITED WE STAND", SO PLEASE LEND YOUR HAND...
